What the figures measure

Each per-game figure is the whole position's allowance divided by measured team games, not by player appearances. Two running backs in one game still count as one team game. Fullbacks count with running backs. Target share is that position's targets divided by all credited QB, RB, WR and TE targets.

Position totals use our held nflverse regular-season play-by-play and its season roster. QB passing figures use the same recorded box scores as the Lab and matchup funnels. League average is the mean of eligible team rates, not a player average. Rank 1 means fewest allowed; ties share a rank. Fewer than three measured games means no rank or league comparison.

Credited player-games count identified passers, targets or rushers in the held play-by-play, once per player per game. They are context, not the rate denominator, and exclude players with no credited involvement. A missing count stays blank. These historical rates are not a player's probability of clearing a line.
