Which sportsbook has the best home run odds?

Quick answer

On one night of our board, across 420 home run props with three or more books quoting, NoVig had the best price on 56% of the 412 rows it quoted, more than double bet365 at 27%. DraftKings had the best price on zero of the 147 rows it quoted, and FanDuel on zero of 147. Among traditional sportsbooks the best of them was bet365. The reason is margin: on home runs NoVig charged about 2.0% and bet365 4.2%, while the rest of the board sat between 6.5% and 9.1%.

If you bet home runs and you took “DraftKings has the best prop odds” from a general roundup, this page is the correction. On the night we measured, DraftKings was the best price on none of the home run props it quoted.

Every book, one market, one night

Our board for the 12 September 2026 slate. 420 home run props with at least three books quoting, because a best price among two books is not a comparison. On each row we took the highest decimal odds and counted who had it.

Book Home run rows quoted Best price on Share
NoVig 412 229 56%
bet365 338 92 27%
ProphetX 377 82 22%
Polymarket 130 17 13%
Fanatics 132 12 9%
Bally Bet 88 6 7%
DraftKings 147 0 0%
FanDuel 147 0 0%

The percentage is over the rows that book quoted, not over the market. Books quoting fewer than 30 home run rows are not reported.

NoVig wins this market and it is not close, at better than double the next book on a similar number of rows. Among traditional sportsbooks the answer is bet365, at 27%.

Two of the three at the top are not sportsbooks in the usual sense. NoVig and ProphetX are peer-to-peer exchanges: your bet is matched against another bettor and the platform takes a commission rather than building a margin into the price. Polymarket is a prediction market, which is different again. That is worth knowing before you go looking for them, and it is also the explanation for the whole table.

Why: the margin on a home run prop

Best price is a symptom. Here is the cause, measured the same night on the same market, taking both sides of each line from the same book and adding the implied probabilities:

Book Two-sided home run lines Median margin
NoVig 273 2.00%
ProphetX 226 2.83%
bet365 226 4.17%
theScore Bet 263 6.55%
betPARX 131 6.80%
Pinnacle 166 6.98%
Fliff 243 9.07%

The order is almost exactly the best-price order, which is what you would expect: a book charging 2% is going to be top of the market more often than one charging 7%, without having to be smarter about anything.

Home run props are longshots, and longshots are where books hang their widest numbers. Note that even bet365’s 4.17% on home runs is below the roughly 6.8% it averages across the whole board. Books do not price every market with the same margin, and on the market people most want to bet, the spread between the cheapest and the dearest place to bet it is about seven points.

The reversal, stated plainly

Market DraftKings best price on
Passing Yards 93% of the 44 rows it quoted
Rushing Yards 71% of 118
Receiving Yards 70% of 240
Home Runs 0% of 147

Same book, same board, same night. It is the best price on football props about seven times out of ten and the best price on home runs never.

This is why “which sportsbook has the best odds” has no single answer, and why a page that gives one is going to be wrong for about half the people who read it. The useful question is which book is best for what you actually bet.

What this does not tell you

It is one night. We ran these numbers, the board refreshed a few hours later before the slate, and the home run column moved noticeably. Nothing about the books changed; the slate did. Treat the shape as the finding, not the decimals, and check tonight’s board rather than trusting last week’s table.

It is not a recommendation to open anything. We are not paid by any book on this page, we contacted none of them, and there are no affiliate links here. An exchange is a different product with different mechanics, different liquidity and different things that can go wrong, and none of that is covered by a best-price count.

It is not a claim about our own picks. Our pick record is being restarted as it goes public, so there is nothing here to cite and we would rather say that than point at an old number.

Best price is not the same as a good bet. Getting the top number on the board is a cheaper version of the same bet. It does not make the bet right.

What to do with it

The practical version is short. If you bet home runs regularly, the book you use for football is probably costing you on every one of them, and the gap is measured in points of implied probability rather than decimals.

Before you take a home run prop, check the price against the rest of the board. The Lab board shows tonight’s home run market with every book we track priced side by side, which is the same view these counts came from.

If you would rather check a margin yourself than take ours, how to devig odds is the calculation in full, and it is the same one behind the second table on this page.

Numbers on this page come from our own board for the 12 September 2026 slate, 420 home run props with three or more books quoting. One night.

Quick answers

Which sportsbook has the best home run odds?

On the night we measured, NoVig, with the best price on 56% of the 412 home run rows it quoted. Among traditional sportsbooks it was bet365 at 27% of 338 rows. DraftKings and FanDuel were best on none of the rows they quoted.

Is DraftKings good for home run props?

Not on the night we measured. It quoted 147 home run rows and was the best price on none of them, while being the best price on 93% of the passing yards props it quoted. The same book can own one sport and trail badly in another.

Why do betting exchanges have better home run odds?

Because they charge commission instead of building a margin into the price. On home runs that night NoVig's two sides added up to about 2.0% over fair and ProphetX about 2.8%, against 6.5% to 9.1% for most sportsbooks. Home run props are longshots, and longshots are where books hang the widest margin.

How much margin is on a home run prop?

It depends heavily on where you look. On one night of our board the median was about 2.0% at NoVig, 4.2% at bet365, and between 6.5% and 9.1% at most of the rest.

Does the best book change by market?

Yes, and this is the clearest example on our board. DraftKings is best on 93% of passing yards, 71% of rushing and 70% of receiving, and on 0% of home runs.
