Which sportsbook has the best NHL shots on goal odds?
NoVig had the highest best-price share in our three-slate NHL sample: 189 of the 538 shots sides it quoted, or 35.1%. Among non-exchange books, Hard Rock Bet, Bally Bet, Bovada and theScore Bet clustered between 17.2% and 17.9%. That is a count of listed prices on 7 to 9 October 2026, not enough history to name a lasting best sportsbook. Compare the exact line and side each time.
NoVig led our listed-price count over three NHL slates, with the best price on 35.1% of the shots sides it quoted. The non-exchange books near the top were close enough that this short window does not establish a lasting order.
We counted 603 comparable sides across 17 games, one pre-noon board for each game date from 7 to 9 October 2026. Repeated updates to the same day’s board are not extra slates.
The price count, with coverage beside it
A side is one player’s over or under at one number in one game. We required main-line quotes from at least three distinct book brands, then marked the highest decimal odds. A tie counts as best for every tied book.
| Book or exchange | Times best price | Sides quoted, of 603 | Best share of its quotes |
|---|---|---|---|
| NoVig | 189 | 538 | 35.1% |
| Hard Rock Bet | 93 | 521 | 17.9% |
| Bally Bet | 85 | 479 | 17.7% |
| Bovada | 70 | 401 | 17.5% |
| theScore Bet | 95 | 551 | 17.2% |
| BetMGM | 66 | 453 | 14.6% |
| DraftKings | 47 | 490 | 9.6% |
| BetOnline | 45 | 499 | 9.0% |
| FanDuel | 19 | 212 | 9.0% |
| ProphetX | 21 | 302 | 7.0% |
| Pinnacle | 22 | 348 | 6.3% |
| Fliff | 3 | 242 | 1.2% |
The last column uses that book’s quoted sides as its denominator. It does not count missing quotes as losing prices. That matters here: FanDuel quoted 212 qualifying sides, while theScore Bet quoted 551. They were not being judged on the same-sized menu.
Ties mean the best counts can add to more than 603. These are listed odds before any fees, limits or exchange fill considerations. Check what you can actually place at that price.
What was excluded
The count reads main-line status per book quote, not from the row’s overall label. A book can have its main line at 2.5 while another has its main at 3.5. Each is compared only with books quoting the same number and side as a main line.
bet365’s shots quotes on these saved boards were alternate or ladder prices, so they do not enter this table. BetRivers and Caesars also supplied no qualifying main-line shots quotes. An absent book here is not evidence that it had no shots markets in its app.
This page compares prices. For the separate question of which statistics to inspect, see what stats matter for NHL shots props.
One player can have different best books for each side
On the 9 October pre-noon board, Alex DeBrincat’s over 3.5 shots was listed at +107 at BetOnline, against +100 at DraftKings. His under 3.5 had its highest listed price elsewhere: -130 at Bovada, against -135 at DraftKings.
The player, game and number were the same. The side changed, and so did the highest price. A book that leads a table still needs checking on the exact bet.
Three slates are a starting sample
We took the last saved board before noon Eastern on each of three game dates:
| NHL game date | Games | Comparable shots sides |
|---|---|---|
| 7 October 2026 | 3 | 94 |
| 8 October 2026 | 10 | 347 |
| 9 October 2026 | 4 | 162 |
The 8 October slate supplies more than half the observations. Some players can appear on more than one day, and quotes from one game share the same market. 603 sides are not 603 independent tests of which book will be best next week.
This count comes from the Steezanomics NHL board’s saved history, 7 to 9 October 2026. It covers those morning saved boards, not every price offered all day. Later postings can change both coverage and the highest price. We exclude alternate quotes, merge duplicate brand labels, and exclude entries marked as held from an earlier poll; no held main-line shots quote occurred in this sample. We do not measure fair value or a betting advantage here.
For the separate points market, see which sportsbook had the best NHL points odds in our 13 to 19 October 2026 morning count, with over and under compared separately.
Open the Lab board, choose NHL, then SOG. Match the player, number and over or under before comparing the books on that row.
Quick answers
Which book had the best NHL shots odds in your sample?
NoVig had the highest best-price share, at 189 of 538 sides quoted, or 35.1%, across the NHL slates of 7 to 9 October 2026. Three slates are too short a window to call it a lasting leader.
Which regular sportsbook had the best NHL shots odds?
Hard Rock Bet was best on 17.9% of the sides it quoted, Bally Bet on 17.7%, Bovada on 17.5% and theScore Bet on 17.2%. Those small differences in a three-slate sample do not establish a stable order.
What does a shots side mean in the table?
One player's over or under at one shot number in one game. Over 2.5 and over 3.5 are different sides. Each counted side had main-line quotes from at least three distinct book brands.
Why is bet365 missing from the NHL shots table?
Its shots quotes on these saved boards were marked as alternate quotes, which this main-line count excludes. Its absence from the table does not mean it had no shots props.
Can I compare an over 2.5 price with an over 3.5 price?
Not as a price-only comparison. They settle on different shot counts. Match the player, game, number and side before deciding which listed odds are higher.
