Which sportsbook has the best NHL points odds?
ProphetX had the highest best-price share for over 0.5 NHL points in our 13 to 19 October 2026 sample: 221 of the 774 qualifying sides it quoted, or 28.6%. BetMGM led under 0.5 at 308 of 683, or 45.1%. Each percentage uses that book's own quoted sides, with ties included. Seven morning boards describe those dates, not a lasting best sportsbook.
ProphetX led over 0.5 points; BetMGM led under 0.5 in our NHL morning-board count for 13 to 19 October 2026. Their best-price shares were 28.6% and 45.1%, respectively, using each book’s own qualifying quotes as the denominator.
That is a dated result across seven mornings and 51 games, not a reason to expect either book to lead on your next player. The practical finding is that the highest price depends on the side and the exact bet.
NHL points are goals plus assists. Over 0.5 needs at least one of either; under 0.5 needs none. Goals alone have their own anytime goal price comparison.
Over 0.5 points: 788 comparable sides
A side is one player’s over or under at one points number in one game. At least three distinct book brands had to quote that exact side as a main line. We marked the highest decimal odds as best and credited every book tied there.
| Book or exchange | Times best | Sides quoted, of 788 | Best share of its quotes |
|---|---|---|---|
| ProphetX | 221 | 774 (98.2%) | 28.6% |
| NoVig | 183 | 756 (95.9%) | 24.2% |
| theScore Bet | 163 | 721 (91.5%) | 22.6% |
| Hard Rock Bet | 151 | 711 (90.2%) | 21.2% |
| BetMGM | 83 | 685 (86.9%) | 12.1% |
| DraftKings | 78 | 736 (93.4%) | 10.6% |
| BetOnline | 69 | 741 (94.0%) | 9.3% |
| Pinnacle | 18 | 380 (48.2%) | 4.7% |
| Fliff | 0 | 306 (38.8%) | 0.0% |
ProphetX’s 28.6% is 221 / 774, not 221 / 788. It quoted 98.2% of the comparable over sides. A missing quote is excluded from its denominator, rather than counted as a losing price.
Under 0.5 points: 779 comparable sides
The under has its own quotes and denominator. An over price does not stand in for a missing under.
| Book or exchange | Times best | Sides quoted, of 779 | Best share of its quotes |
|---|---|---|---|
| BetMGM | 308 | 683 (87.7%) | 45.1% |
| theScore Bet | 206 | 717 (92.0%) | 28.7% |
| Hard Rock Bet | 146 | 709 (91.0%) | 20.6% |
| BetOnline | 102 | 737 (94.6%) | 13.8% |
| ProphetX | 71 | 721 (92.6%) | 9.8% |
| DraftKings | 62 | 734 (94.2%) | 8.4% |
| Pinnacle | 29 | 380 (48.8%) | 7.6% |
| NoVig | 41 | 708 (90.9%) | 5.8% |
| Fliff | 0 | 303 (38.9%) | 0.0% |
BetMGM’s 45.1% is 308 / 683. Its under coverage was 87.7%, against 94.6% for BetOnline. Those books were being judged on different-sized menus, and the mix of players they quoted can differ too.
Ties mean the best counts and shares across books need not add to the number of sides or to 100%. This compares listed odds before fees and limits, without measuring how much could be placed at an exchange price.
The 1.5 main lines stay separate
There were also 77 qualifying over 1.5 sides and 61 under 1.5 sides. These are not folded into the 0.5 tables. Every comparison still matches the same player, game, number and side; the smaller samples deserve particular care.
The quoted counts below show coverage out of 77 overs and 61 unders. Each share again divides best by that book’s own quoted count.
| Book or exchange | Over: best / quoted | Over share | Under: best / quoted | Under share |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BetMGM | 7 / 31 | 22.6% | 5 / 29 | 17.2% |
| BetOnline | 9 / 60 | 15.0% | 9 / 56 | 16.1% |
| DraftKings | 1 / 43 | 2.3% | 4 / 43 | 9.3% |
| Fliff | 0 / 22 | 0.0% | 0 / 22 | 0.0% |
| Hard Rock Bet | 8 / 55 | 14.5% | 20 / 51 | 39.2% |
| NoVig | 41 / 74 | 55.4% | 10 / 55 | 18.2% |
| Pinnacle | 0 / 16 | 0.0% | 0 / 16 | 0.0% |
| ProphetX | 6 / 77 | 7.8% | 14 / 53 | 26.4% |
| theScore Bet | 13 / 64 | 20.3% | 19 / 53 | 35.8% |
Across all four groups, Bally Bet, BetRivers, Bovada, Caesars, Courtside, FanDuel, Fanatics, ReBet, bet365 and betPARX each had zero best prices from zero eligible quotes and 0% coverage. Their best-price shares are N/A, because there is no denominator. Their absence does not establish that their apps had no points markets.
No saved bet365 points quote carried the main-line flag, so no bet365 quote enters the comparison above.
Two players in one game, two different best books
On the 13 October 2026 pre-noon board for Washington at Carolina, these were the qualifying over 0.5 points prices:
| Book or exchange | Taylor Hall | Ilya Protas |
|---|---|---|
| BetMGM | -115 | +145 |
| BetOnline | +106 | +130 |
| DraftKings | +110 | +120 |
| Fliff | +105 | +115 |
| Hard Rock Bet | -115 | +120 |
| NoVig | +117 | +133 |
| Pinnacle | +104 | +122 |
| ProphetX | +114 | +123 |
| theScore Bet | +100 | +120 |
Taylor Hall: NoVig’s +117 was best. The most frequent price, called the mode, was -115 at BetMGM and Hard Rock Bet, with two brands; each other price occurred once. On a $100 winning stake, +117 means $117 profit, while -115 means $86.96 profit. The best-versus-modal gap was $30.04 before fees.
Ilya Protas: BetMGM’s +145 was best. The mode was +120 at DraftKings, Hard Rock Bet and theScore Bet, with three brands; each other price occurred once. On a $100 winning stake, those prices mean $145 versus $120 profit, a $25 gap before fees.
Each example has one clear, repeated modal price. These are payout differences conditional on winning, not a forecast of either player’s result. The best book changed between two players in the same game.
What the seven mornings cover
We used the last saved board strictly before noon Toronto on each game date, retaining only NHL games on that date. All seven dates stay in the count.
| NHL game date | Games | Comparable points sides |
|---|---|---|
| 13 October 2026 | 16 | 543 |
| 14 October 2026 | 2 | 62 |
| 15 October 2026 | 11 | 375 |
| 16 October 2026 | 2 | 66 |
| 17 October 2026 | 14 | 439 |
| 18 October 2026 | 2 | 79 |
| 19 October 2026 | 4 | 141 |
That gives 1,705 comparable sides: 788 over 0.5, 779 under 0.5, 77 over 1.5 and 61 under 1.5. Different points numbers are different bets; they are never treated as competing prices for the same side.
Main-line status must be explicitly marked by the book for that quote. A 0.5 number by itself does not qualify it. One book’s main line can be 0.5 while another’s is 1.5. Alternate or ladder quotes, quotes marked as held from an earlier pull, and bet365 quotes on games marked held are excluded. Duplicate labels belonging to one brand are merged before applying the three-brand minimum.
The source is the Steezanomics NHL board’s saved history for 13 to 19 October 2026. One board per morning misses books that post later and prices that move later. Being on the same saved board also does not mean every provider refreshed at precisely the same instant.
Players recur across dates, and many sides share one game. The 13 and 17 October slates contribute 982 of the 1,705 sides. This is seven mornings of listed prices, not 1,705 independent tests or a lasting book ranking.
The separate NHL shots odds comparison concerns another market and earlier dates. How many sportsbooks you need for player props explains why coverage matters alongside the highest price.
Open the Lab board, choose NHL, then PTS (Points). Find your player, match the points number and over or under, and compare the books on that row. Check the displayed price times, then confirm the available price and terms where you can place the bet.
Quick answers
Which sportsbook had the best NHL points odds?
For over 0.5 points, ProphetX led our 13 to 19 October 2026 count at 221 best prices from 774 qualifying sides quoted, or 28.6%. For under 0.5, BetMGM led at 308 from 683, or 45.1%. These are separate, dated counts with ties included.
What does best-price share mean?
The number of qualifying sides where a book had the highest decimal odds, divided by the qualifying sides that book quoted. Each side matches the player, game, points number and over or under, with at least three distinct brands quoting it as a main line.
Does over 0.5 points mean a goal or an assist?
Either one meets the threshold: NHL points are goals plus assists. Under 0.5 means no points. Over 1.5 requires at least two points and belongs in a separate price comparison.
Why is bet365 absent from this NHL points comparison?
The saved feed supplied no eligible main points quotes under this study's rules. That means no denominator and an N/A best-price share, rather than a 0% share. It does not mean bet365 offered no points props.
