What happens to the Ducks' player props without Troy Terry?

Quick answer

In the 28 regular-season games Anaheim has played without Troy Terry since the start of 2025-26, 21 last season and all 7 this season, Beckett Sennecke averaged 2.93 shots on goal and 19.83 minutes, against 2.18 and 16.78 in the 61 games with Terry. Cutter Gauthier's shots barely moved, 3.69 against 3.75. Jackson LaCombe's fell to 1.39 from 2.02, and the Ducks took 28.18 shots a game against 31.25. Seven games this season is a small sample.

Troy Terry will not play for Anaheim at the New York Rangers tonight, Monday, October 19, 2026, or at the Islanders on Tuesday. He is on long-term injured reserve with a hip injury; the ESPN injury feed entry dated September 30, 2026 says he is not expected back until mid-November at the earliest. He has missed all seven of the Ducks’ games this season, and he missed 21 more last season, so our NHL game logs hold 28 regular-season games without him since the start of 2025-26. Why he missed the 2025-26 games is not in our logs, so the cause of those absences is unknown here.

A game counts as with Terry when he played at least 12 minutes, a fifth of regulation. He never played fewer than 13 minutes in a game he dressed for, so none is borderline. Last season’s games without him came in two stretches, January 8 to 29 (11 games) and February 27 to March 14 (9), plus March 26.

Shots are shots on goal and points are goals plus assists, both per game the player played. As a team, the Ducks took 31.25 shots a game with Terry (median 30) and 28.18 without him (median 28), and scored 3.38 goals a game with him against 2.89 without (median 3 in both). Team goals here are the skaters’ goals in our logs, so a shootout winner is not counted.

The Ducks have taken 24.14 shots a game this season (median 25), fewer than in either group of games last season. Sennecke has played 21.22 minutes a game, the most of the forwards here, with 2.57 shots and 1.14 points a game. Carlsson has 1.14 shots and 1.29 points a game. LaCombe has 0.71 shots a game from the blue line, against 2.02 in the games with Terry. Lukas Dostal started 20 of the 28 games without Terry and Ville Husso 8.

What this can and cannot tell you

Twenty-eight games is a real sample for a team without one forward, but it spans two seasons and two rosters, and the seven games this season, against six opponents, are the only ones with this year’s lineup. The clearest pattern is Sennecke: more minutes and more shots in both seasons without Terry. Gauthier’s shot volume did not depend on Terry in these games. LaCombe’s shots fell in both seasons; cause unknown. None of it forecasts tonight’s game at the Rangers or Tuesday’s at the Islanders, and none of it says anything about prices.

Where to find these

When the Ducks’ game is on the Lab board, open Sennecke’s shots on goal page, Gauthier’s, Carlsson’s points page and LaCombe’s shots on goal page for every game beside every result. What to read on a shots line is in stats for NHL shots on goal props, and the same question for NFL teams is in Jets props without Breece Hall.

Quick answers

Who shoots more for the Ducks without Troy Terry?

Beckett Sennecke, in the games we hold. He averaged 2.93 shots on goal in the 28 games without Terry (median 3) against 2.18 (median 2) in the 61 with him, and reached 3 shots in 15 of the 28 against 21 of the 61. His minutes rose to 19.83 a game from 16.78. Mikael Granlund also shot more, 2.41 against 1.81.

Do Cutter Gauthier's shots change without Terry?

Hardly. Gauthier averaged 3.69 shots in his 26 games without Terry and 3.75 in his 56 with him, and reached 3 shots in 18 of the 26 and 37 of the 56. This season he played 2.3 minutes at Calgary on October 10 and missed the October 13 game; in his five full games he took 21 shots.

What about Leo Carlsson?

His shots fell, 2.21 a game in 19 games without Terry against 2.74 in 58 with him, and this season he has 1.14 a game across 7 games without a single 3-shot game. His points went the other way this season, 1.29 a game, though across both seasons he averaged 0.89 without Terry and 1.02 with him.

How many points did Terry score?

19 goals and 57 points in his 61 regular-season games in 2025-26, with 2.64 shots on goal a game (median 3) in 18.35 minutes.

Does this tell me what will happen against the Rangers?

No. Twenty-eight games across two seasons and two different rosters describe what happened; they do not forecast tonight's game, and they say nothing about the prices.
