What happens to the Jazz's player props without Jusuf Nurkic?

Quick answer

In the 41 regular-season games Utah played without Jusuf Nurkic in 2025-26, against 41 with him, the Jazz grabbed 41.44 rebounds a game (median 40) against 46.20 (median 46) and scored 116.46 points (median 116) against 118.71 (median 117). Kyle Filipowski averaged 8.76 rebounds without him against 5.70 with him, in 27.14 minutes against 19.95, and Ace Bailey scored 17.00 points (median 16) against 10.92 (median 10). 27 of the 41 games came in one run at the end of the season, when Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George also missed most games, the cause of Nurkic's absences is unknown from our logs, and these are last season's numbers, not a forecast.

Jusuf Nurkic will not play for Utah vs Memphis on Monday, October 26, 2026. The ESPN injury feed lists him as out in an entry dated October 7, 2026; its comment says he “will miss at least the next four weeks” with a partial plantar plate tear in the second toe of his right foot, and the feed gives November 4 as his return date. Utah has played two games this season, both without him, so the comparisons below come from last season: the Jazz played 82 regular-season games in 2025-26, Nurkic played 10 or more minutes in 41 of them, and 41 came without him. Our logs do not say why he missed those games, so the cause is unknown.

A game counts as with Nurkic when he played at least 10 minutes, a fifth of regulation. He played fewer than 20 minutes eight times, all between October 22 and December 5, the fewest 16, and those games count as with him. His last game was February 11 vs Sacramento (26 minutes, 8 points, 9 rebounds). Of the 41 games without him, 19 were at home.

The Jazz rebounded less without Nurkic, by 4.76 a game at the mean and 6 at the median, and scored a little less. The rest of the roster also changed across those games, so read the gap as what happened, not as a rule.

Nurkic himself averaged 10.90 points, 10.37 rebounds and 4.78 assists in 26.44 minutes in the games he played.

Every figure is per game the player played, in the group of games shown. Games with and games without count the games each player appeared in, so a player who missed games himself has a smaller count than the group. Markkanen played only 8 games without Nurkic, so his without column is a hint at most. Blake Hinson played 14 games for Utah, all without Nurkic: 11.93 points in 20.43 minutes.

The closing run, and who else was missing

27 of the 41 games without Nurkic came in a row, from February 12 to April 12. Lauri Markkanen played 1 of those 27 games, Keyonte George 6, Svi Mykhailiuk 6 and Isaiah Collier 12, while Ace Bailey played 24, Brice Sensabaugh 23 and Kyle Filipowski 23. So the games without Nurkic are, for the most part, also games without Utah’s two leading scorers, and the bigger roles for Sensabaugh, Bailey and Filipowski cannot be credited to Nurkic’s absence alone. In the 14 earlier games without him, from December 4 to February 5, Utah scored 116.93 points (median 119.5) and grabbed 39.07 rebounds (median 39), and Markkanen played 7 of them.

Two games this season, both without him

Utah is 2 games into 2026-27. On October 21 at Memphis the Jazz scored 103: Jaren Jackson Jr. had 15 points and 5 rebounds in 28 minutes, and Jaxson Hayes 5 points and 5 rebounds in 26. On October 23 vs New Orleans the Jazz scored 120: Jackson had 24 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes, Hayes 17 points and 5 rebounds in 26, Keyonte George 19 points and 10 assists, and Lauri Markkanen 16 points. Two games is not a sample.

What this can and cannot tell you

The clearest shift tied to Nurkic’s role is on the boards: Utah grabbed fewer rebounds without him, and Filipowski added 3.06 rebounds a game in about seven more minutes. The scoring jumps for Sensabaugh, Bailey and Filipowski are real in the logs, but most of them came in a closing run in which Markkanen and George also sat, so they say as much about that stretch as about Nurkic.

The roster has changed since. Jaren Jackson Jr. played 3 games for Utah last season, all with Nurkic, and Jaxson Hayes, Darryn Peterson, Josh Okogie and Josh Green did not play for Utah at all in 2025-26; Mo Bamba played 3 games, all without him. This season’s two games are the better look at who takes the center minutes. With the cause of last season’s absences unknown and the roster changed, none of this forecasts Monday’s game vs Memphis, and none of it says anything about prices.

Where to find these

Each player has a page with every game beside the line: Ace Bailey’s points, Lauri Markkanen’s points and Keyonte George’s points. Monday’s lines appear on the Lab board once the game is posted. 41 of their 82 regular-season games. A game counts as with Nurkic when he played at least 10 minutes, a fifth of regulation; he played 10 or more in the other 41. 14 of the games without him were spread from December 4 to February 5, and the other 27 came in a row from February 12 to the last game of the season on April 12, 2026.

What did Nurkic himself average?

In the 41 games he played in 2025-26, 10.90 points (median 11), 10.37 rebounds (median 10) and 4.78 assists (median 4) in 26.44 minutes a game (median 26).

Who rebounded more without him?

Kyle Filipowski averaged 8.76 rebounds (median 8) in 37 games without Nurkic against 5.70 (median 5) in 40 with him, in 27.14 minutes against 19.95. As a team, Utah grabbed 41.44 rebounds a game without him (median 40) against 46.20 (median 46).

Most of those games came while Lauri Markkanen and Keyonte George were out as well.

Does this tell me what will happen against Memphis?

No. Two thirds of the games without Nurkic came in one closing run in which Markkanen played 1 game and George 6, and Jaren Jackson Jr., Jaxson Hayes, Darryn Peterson, Josh Okogie and Mo Bamba never played a game for Utah with Nurkic in 2025-26. These numbers describe what happened; they do not forecast Monday, and they say nothing about the prices.
