What happens to the Rockets' player props without Alperen Sengun?
In the 11 regular-season games Houston played without Alperen Sengun in 2025-26, against 71 with him, the Rockets scored 110.09 points a game (median 107) against 116.03 (median 116) and grabbed 50.27 rebounds (median 51) against 47.79 (median 47). Kevin Durant went from 25.50 points a game (median 25) with Sengun to 29.20 (median 30) without him, Amen Thompson from 7.58 rebounds (median 8) to 9.10 (median 9), and Clint Capela from 11.19 minutes, 3.23 points and 4.27 rebounds to 19.00 minutes, 6.82 points (median 6) and 6.55 rebounds (median 7). Eleven games is a small sample spread over five separate stretches, Steven Adams took center minutes in 6 of them and is out now too, the cause of Sengun's absences is unknown from our logs, and these are last season's numbers, not a forecast.
Alperen Sengun will not play for Houston at Milwaukee on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The ESPN injury feed lists him as out in an entry dated October 27, 2026; its comment says he “is dealing with lower-back soreness and will miss his first game of the season, with his next chance to play coming Friday at Dallas”. Steven Adams (calf) is listed out in an entry dated October 26, and Marcus Smart (forearm) is day-to-day in an entry dated October 27. Houston has played four games this season, all with Sengun, so the comparisons below come from last season: the Rockets played 82 regular-season games in 2025-26, Sengun played 10 or more minutes in 71 of them, and 11 came without him. Our logs do not say why he missed those games, so the cause is unknown.
A game counts as with Sengun when he played at least 10 minutes, a fifth of regulation. He never played between 10 and 20 minutes last season, and the one game he left early, January 3 at Dallas after 1 minute, counts as without him. His last game of 2025-26 was April 10 vs Minnesota (29 minutes, 22 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists); he sat the finale on April 12 vs Memphis. Of the 11 games without him, 7 were at home.
The Rockets, with Sengun against without him
| Rockets per game (median) | With, 71 games | Without, 11 games |
|---|---|---|
| Points | 116.03 (116) | 110.09 (107) |
| Rebounds | 47.79 (47) | 50.27 (51) |
| Assists | 25.83 (25) | 22.64 (22) |
| Three-pointers | 11.61 (11) | 10.55 (10) |
Houston scored less without Sengun, 110.09 a game against 116.03, a gap of 5.94 at the mean and 9 at the median, and passed less, 22.64 assists against 25.83. It rebounded more, 50.27 against 47.79. Eleven games is a small sample, four of them were the January trip without him, and the rest of the roster changed across those games too, so read the gaps as what happened, not as a rule.
Sengun himself averaged 20.65 points, 9.00 rebounds and 6.27 assists in 33.80 minutes in the games he played.

Every figure is per game the player played, in the group of games shown. Games with and games without count the games each player appeared in, so a player who missed games himself has a smaller count than the group: Durant, Thompson and Smith sat the April 12 finale, Eason sat the two December 5 and 6 games, Tate sat 5 of the 11, and Steven Adams played no game after January 18, so his columns are 26 and 6 games.

The center minutes split two ways while Adams was there: in the 6 games without Sengun that Adams played, he averaged 28.00 minutes and Capela’s minutes ran from 9 to 18. In the 5 games Adams sat, Capela played 30, 27, 22, 26 and 23 minutes. The finale on April 12 vs Memphis is the odd one out: Durant, Thompson, Smith and Adams all sat, and Capela had 23 points and 13 rebounds in 23 minutes, his season high in points by a distance; it is the game that lifts his mean above his median. Durant’s 37 points on January 7 at Portland and 34 on January 3 at Dallas came in the four-game January stretch without Sengun.
Three players who took minutes in those games are not on this season’s roster. Josh Okogie played all 11, 13.45 minutes a game (median 13), Dorian Finney-Smith played 9 at 18.44 minutes (median 16) and Aaron Holiday played 8 at 15.25 minutes (median 13.5). So some of the minutes that opened last season went to players who are not there now.
Four games this season, all with him
On October 21 vs Dallas the Rockets scored 128: Sengun had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in 30 minutes, Durant 30 points in 37, Jabari Smith Jr. 30 points in 36, and Capela 0 points and 3 rebounds in 8. On October 23 at San Antonio the Rockets scored 114: Sengun 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists in 36 minutes, Adams 4 points and 2 rebounds in 9, Tari Eason 12 points in 27, and Capela has no row in our log for that game. On October 24 at Atlanta the Rockets scored 121: Sengun 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists in 33 minutes, Capela 2 points and 3 rebounds in 11, Eason 19 points in 31 and Reed Sheppard 19 points in 30. On October 26 vs Atlanta the Rockets scored 120: Sengun 29 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists in 37 minutes, Capela 2 points and 2 rebounds in 4, Eason 13 points and 8 rebounds in 33, and Smith 16 points and 12 rebounds in 39. There is no game without him yet, so there is no one-game look this season.
What this can and cannot tell you
The clearest shifts tied to Sengun’s role are Clint Capela’s, 7.81 more minutes a game and 2.28 more rebounds at the mean, 6.82 points against 3.23, with his rebounds up at the median too (7 against 4), and Kevin Durant’s scoring, 3.70 more points at the mean and 5 at the median in about the same minutes. Amen Thompson and Tari Eason rebounded more, and the team as a whole rebounded more and scored less.
The roster has changed since. Fred VanVleet, Marcus Smart, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Quadir Copeland, Julian Phillips, Bruce Thornton and Oscar Tshiebwe did not play for Houston in 2025-26, and Steven Adams, who took the most center minutes in last season’s games without Sengun while he was available, is out himself. Okogie, Finney-Smith and Holiday, who took minutes in those games, are gone. With the cause of last season’s absences unknown and the roster changed, none of this forecasts Wednesday’s game at Milwaukee, and none of it says anything about prices.
Where to find these
Each player has a page with every game beside the line: Kevin Durant’s points, Amen Thompson’s rebounds and Tari Eason’s rebounds. Wednesday’s lines appear on the Lab board once the game is posted. The NBA allowance tables are on defense vs position for NBA props, and the same question for another team’s center is in Pistons props without Jalen Duren.

Quick answers
How many games did the Rockets play without Alperen Sengun last season?
11 of their 82 regular-season games. A game counts as with Sengun when he played at least 10 minutes, a fifth of regulation; he played 10 or more in the other 71. The 11 came in five separate stretches: December 5 and 6, December 27 and 29, 4 in a row from January 3 to January 9, March 13 and 16, and the season finale on April 12, 2026. 7 of the 11 were at home.
What did Sengun himself average?
In the 71 games he played in 2025-26, 20.65 points (median 19), 9.00 rebounds (median 9) and 6.27 assists (median 6) in 33.80 minutes a game (median 34).
Who rebounded more without him?
Amen Thompson averaged 9.10 rebounds (median 9) in the 10 games without Sengun he played against 7.58 (median 8) in 69 with him. Tari Eason averaged 8.11 (median 8) in 9 games without against 5.94 (median 6) in 51 with. Clint Capela averaged 6.55 (median 7) in 11 games without against 4.27 (median 4) in 64 with, in 19.00 minutes against 11.19. As a team, Houston grabbed 50.27 rebounds a game without him (median 51) against 47.79 (median 47).

Kevin Durant averaged 29.20 points (median 30) in the 10 games without Sengun he played against 25.50 (median 25) in 68 with him, in about the same minutes. Amen Thompson averaged 19.80 (median 20) against 18.04 (median 18), and Clint Capela 6.82 (median 6) against 3.23 (median 3). Jabari Smith Jr. and Reed Sheppard scored about the same: 15.50 (median 16) against 15.82 (median 16), and 13.45 (median 12) against 13.55 (median 13).
Does this tell me what will happen at Milwaukee?
No. Eleven games is a small sample, Steven Adams, who played 6 of them at 28.00 minutes a game, is out with a calf injury, and Fred VanVleet and Marcus Smart, who have started this season, did not play for Houston in 2025-26. These numbers describe what happened; they do not forecast Wednesday, and they say nothing about the prices.
